Beautiful Peacock 1/15/18

Hi!

First of all, thank you for stopping by! I'm excited to share this beautiful, simple card with you! So let's not waste anymore time and jump on it!

Today I'm going to show you a super simple card that took maybe 15 minutes to create! And I'm not kidding!

For this card you will need to grab your Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink ink pads. Cut a piece of Fresh Fig cardstock for an A2 base (5.5"x4.25") and a piece of Fresh Florals DSP for the layer (5.25"x4"). You'll also need Layering Ovals Framelits (I used the largest scallop oval and the 2nd largest solid oval), and Finely Woven Ribbon in Fresh Fig. Glue Dots and Tombow are used as the adhesives.

After using your Layering Ovals Framelits to cut out your Whisper White oval, stamp the design in Powder Pink around the edges of the oval leaving the center semi open.
Using your Lemon Lime Twist ink pad, stamp the feathers of the peacock on the oval leaving enough room at the bottom for the feet of the peacock.
Now using your Fresh Fig ink pad, stamp the body of the peacock inside of the feathers being careful to line it up inside of the little cutout on the feathers. When the Stamparatus becomes available to order for everyone, this will be a great stamp to use on it! I'll be posting about it in the next few weeks, so stay tuned to learn more about our new product coming out! I'm waiting on mine to ship to me now.

Taking your Finely Woven Fresh Fig ribbon, tie a knot in it around the paper. I didn't measure an exact length to do this. I just laid my paper down on top of the ribbon while the ribbon was still on the spool and got an estimate length that I liked and cut it. Then I tied it and secured the know to the paper using a glue dot.
Using my Tombow (aka Multipurpose Liquid Glue), I adhered my Whisper White oval on my Fresh Fig scalloped oval, then adhered both ovals to my Fresh Florals DSP. Then I adhered my whole piece of DPS with everything on it to my Fresh Fig base.

And ta-da! You're finished! This is such an easy card to make, and it's so fancy!

Fun fact about this card; I NEVER use pinks. Ever. I'm the least pink girl you could meet, so I chose Powder Pink and Fresh Fig for this card because I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone. It's growing on me though. When I first made it I hated it, but now I'm growing to love this color combo!

    1. Thank you! Yes, I'm not a pink person at all so when the new In Colors had 2 pinks and a purple I was very upset! The Lemon Lime Twist was and is my favorite! I hope this year they give us colors that aren't pink!
